GiantX unveils its roster for LEC 2025

GiantX has formalized its roster for the 2025 LEC season. Alongside Jackies, extended for this new season, the team welcomes Lot to the toplane, Closer in the jungle, as well as the former Fnatic botlane, Noah and Jun. This quintet marks an ambitious reconstruction phase for the Spanish structure.

GiantX prepares a revival for 2025

After a 2024 season marked by mixed results, GiantX has revealed its squad for the 2025 LEC season. The Spanish organization is entering a new phase of its development by relying on a largely renewed roster. Midlaner Adam “Jackies” Jeřábek remains the only 2024 player to continue the adventure, accompanied by four new recruits: Can “Closer” Çelik as jungler, Eren “Lot” Yıldız as toplane, and former Fnatic botlane, Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek and Yoon “Jun” Se-jun. This roster marks a key step in the strategic reconstruction of GiantX.

The 2024 GiantX season ended with mixed results. Resulting from the merger between Excel and Giants, the team failed to transform its promises into significant performances. With notably an 8th place in the Spring Split and a 6th place in the Summer Split and the LEC Season Finals, GiantX struggled to find consistency. Despite some strong moments, including qualifying for the regional finals, the team did not exceed expectations. Jackies, considered one of the most consistent players in the squad, nevertheless showed promising performances at midfield, notably receiving the title of rookie of the year.

Faced with these disappointing results, GiantX chose to completely reshuffle its workforce around Jackies. The first signing for 2025 was that of Closer, confirmed last December. The former Karmine Corp jungler brings his experience and strategic sense to lead the team. Alongside him, Lot, a former top laner for Aegis and Team GO in the LFL, joins the team to occupy the top lane. Lot is known for his versatility and ability to quickly adapt to different metas, essential qualities in a competitive league like the LEC.

The GiantX botlane will be made up of Noah and Jun, two rookies who have already proven themselves together under the colors of Fnatic in 2024. Their synergy could be a major asset for the team. Noah, known for his aggressive playstyle, and Jun, a support capable of controlling the map and initiating decisive actions, form a seasoned duo that could provide immediate stability.

With this roster, GiantX also relies on a new strategic direction under the leadership of André “Guilhoto” Pereira Guilhoto, confirmed as head coach last December. Guilhoto, with his experience in the LEC, will have the mission of maximizing the synergy between these recruits and optimizing the team's performance from the start of the season. After a disappointing 2024 season, the Spanish team hopes to capitalize on this revival to climb the ranks in the LEC. The upcoming season will be a crucial test to assess whether this roster can turn ambitions into concrete results.
