This Friday, January 17, Prince Albert of Monaco sent a touching tribute to one of his colleagues, Minister of State in office since last September, who has just died following a “rapid illness”.

In this touching tribute, illustrated with a photo of the Rock in black and white, Prince Albert II, already touched by adversity, expressed his “tremendous sadness” by announcing the disappearance of this close collaborator. In this elegantly sober press release, the father of four revealed that Didier Guillaume had died of “rapid illness that occurred during his hospitalization”while offering his condolences to his loved ones. Albert II then celebrated the deceased's achievements.

Highlighting “remarkable commitment” by Didier Guillaume since taking office on September 2, Prince Albert greeted his determination and its know-how”emphasizing the “concrete progress” carried out under his direction. The sovereign also praised the “human qualities” of the politician who died today. The princely press release specified that information relating to the funeral of the deceased will be communicated later. This unexpected death was also a shock in Didier Guillaume's region of origin, Drôme, where he had been mayor of his native commune, Bourg-de-Péage, then president of the departmental council, before becoming senator and minister of Agriculture under Emmanuel Macron, between 2018 and 2020.
