“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was informed by the negotiating team that agreements have been reached for the release of the hostages,” his office said in a statement.
He added that the families of the hostages had been informed and preparations were being made to welcome them.
According to the protocol put in place by Israel, people taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023 receive, upon their return, medical, psychological and financial assistance, facing the serious after-effects of this captivity.
Of the more than 250 people taken hostage in October 2023, 94 captives are still held in Gaza, of whom 34 were declared dead by the Israeli army. 33 hostages are to be released as part of the truce agreement.
