Early in Bayern Munich’s clash against TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, Harry Kane squared a simple pass across the box to gift a glorious opportunity to Leroy Sané. Instead, the 29-year-old mysteriously hesitated on the ball and lost it in a wasteful fashion. The offside whistle blew, but it was still a sad reminder of Sané’s loss in confidence.
A few minutes later, he hammered a spectacular finish into the net, which sparked a phenomenal performance from the former Schalke 04 winger.
And so, when Sané spoke to interviewers after the match, he did so as arguably the best man on the pitch. Still, he is not getting carried away with this performance.
“I feel comfortable here. Everything’s going well. We’ll see what happens. Every single player in the team has to perform, myself included,” Sané said, via @iMiaSanMia.
If he keeps putting in these kind of performances, the flying winger will see them rewarded with a new contract in no time.
