In the pursuit duel, Stuttgart won against Leipzig 2-1. Bremen drew 3-3 with Heidenheim, Union Berlin lost 2-0 to Augsburg. The bottom of the table, VfL Bochum, won against FC St. Pauli 1-0 and thereby picked up important points in the relegation battle.

On Tuesday there were the following results:
Holstein Kiel – Borussia Dortmund 4:2,
Bayer Leverkusen – Mainz 05 1-0,
Eintracht Frankfurt – SC Freiburg 4:1,
VfL Wolfsburg – Borussia Monchengladbach 5:1.
