The First President of the Court of Cassation, in his capacity as President-Delegate of the Supreme Council of Judicial Power, will chair the official session to open the new judicial year 2025, on the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Council’s headquarters in Rabat.
Like every judicial year, the opening of this year comes in implementation of Article Eight of the Kingdom’s Judicial Organization Law.

The official session to open the judicial year is considered an established judicial tradition, during which the first president of the Court of Cassation and the King’s Attorney General present the outcome of the past judicial year and highlight the efforts made by the Kingdom’s judges.

It also constitutes an opportunity to objectively evaluate the level of judicial services and an opportunity to present the strategic objectives and future projects of judicial institutions, which are being implemented in accordance with the royal directives, and in implementation of the Constitution and laws of the Kingdom. Which aims to develop judicial performance, improve services provided to litigants, and strengthen the role of the judiciary and justice institutions in the state of right and law.
