A favorable outcome which should certainly have occurred a little earlier, before the end of added time. Receiving a perfect cross from the precious Keito Nakamura, Oumar Diakité had in fact wasted a prime match point according to the rules, missing his header at point blank range (90th+1). The same Oumar Diakité who, a few minutes later, sealed Reims’ qualification with a controlled shot on goal.
That’s almost the opposite trajectory of his teammate Cédric Kipré, first scorer of the game with an angry helmet strike (45th) but only Rémois to miss his shot on goal. Without consequence given the extreme clumsiness of the Monegasques, for whom the exercise turned out to be an ordeal with three failures from Caio Henrique, Mika Biereth and Lamine Camara.
Biereth decisive passer for his first with Monaco

Enough to open your statistics sheet in France, but for a very disappointing final result.
