Tracker: Liverpool and Forest draw, Atalanta rescue point against Juventus

It may not be the weekend but with a full round of Premier League and Bundesliga action plus some Serie A thrown in, it sure does feel like one! We will cover all the big games as they happen for you here.

Tuesday, January 14th

23:45 CET – Finally for tonight, PSV have rescued themselves from a shock cup exit after coming back from 3-1 down against second-division side Excelsior to score two late goals in normal time. PSV then went on to win 5-4 after extra time – a thriller in Eindhoven.

23:02 CET – Over to the French Cup, and are heading to penalties after a dramatic late equaliser from Marseille.

23:00 CET – Finally from the Premier League for tonight, Liverpool have found a way to rescue a point despite not being at their best after substitute Diogo Jota headed home from a corner as Arne Slot got his subs spot on again. 1-1.

22:54 CET – Meanwhile, Atalanta were able to rescue a point against Juventus late on but dropped two more points in a title race becoming further and further out of reach. 1-1.

22:33 CET – Over in the Bundesliga Bayer Leverkusen did find their goal thanks to the ever-dangerous Alejandro Grimaldo as they beat Mainz 1-0.

22:19 CET – A magical second half display and brace from Phil Foden has been cancelled out after two late goals have rescued Brentford a point in dramatic fashion. Another shock setback for Manchester City in a season that continues to get away from them.

Chelsea’s rotten run may have continued this evening but it could have been much worse. The home side let a half-time lead slip and found themselves 2-1 down before Reece James struck a stunning free-kick late into injury time to rescue a point against Bournemouth

Finally, West Ham have beaten Fulham 3-2 in a thrilling London derby to give Graham Potter victory on his return to the Premier League.

22:01 CET – It has taken a while but a lovely Manchester City goal is finished off by Phil Foden to give the visitors the lead.

21:45 CET – There was an electric atmosphere at the Forest Ground in the first period and for good reason. After a long wait for the glory days to return, Forest fans have been treated this season by a side fully in tune with the clubs’ morals and prepared to go to war for the badge.

The home side have been terrific again tonight against the league leaders and lead through a goal characteristic to their season.

A lightning break was finished off by the on fire Chris Wood who showed incredible composure to slide an effort past Allison and into the bottom corner. 1-0 and advantage Nottingham Forest.

21:37 CET – In this frantic night of action, attention moves to Serie A and it is half-time in a big clash between Atalanta and Juventus. It remains goalless so far, although it is the visitors who have looked the most likely so far as they continue to knock on the door.

21:30 CET – Over to the Bundesliga and Bayer Leverkusen have failed to find a goal so far against the tricky Mainz as it remains at the break 0-0.

21:20 CET – The half-time whistle has blown in the early three Premier League kick-offs and it is Chelsea and West Ham who will be happiest at the break.

Cole Palmer gave Chelsea an early lead against Bournemouth and West Ham lead Fulham 2-0 in Graham Potter’s return to the Premier League dugout.

Finally, in the early Premier League games, Manchester City have work to do away to Brentford as they go into the break goalless.

20:05 CET – Inside a packed and loud Forest Park, Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool is underway with a lot at stake at the top end of the Premier League!

20:50 CET – And finally in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen have the chance to put pressure on league leaders Bayern Munich against surprise package Mainz as they headline one of three evening games, all of which are underway.

20:38 CET – Meanwhile in the Dutch Cup, Ajax have suffered a shock exit away to AZ Alkmaar after losing 2-0.

20:32 CET – Over to the Bundesliga and despite a second half fight from Dortmund, Holstein Kiel held firm and settled the match with a late goal in added time to claim a famous 4-2 victory.

20:28 CET – A big first Serie A win for new AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao as his side came from behind to score two goals inside the final 20 minutes and defeat Como 2-1.

20:13 CET – The game of the evening is around 45 minutes away as Nottingham Forest hosts Liverpool in a clash between third and first in the Premier League.

Forest have been the surprise package of the season and have the chance to move within three points of league leaders Liverpool if they win.

As for the visitors, they will be desperate to get back on track in pursuit of the title after an underwhelming draw with rivals Manchester United last time out in the Premier League.

19:17 CET – It is half-time in the Bundesliga and so far Dortmund have been stunned by Holstein Kiel as they find themselves 3-0 down and with a massive uphill battle even to rescue a point. It is typical of a season of unpredictability from a side capable of brilliance but often off the pace.
