“Today is a special match for me. I spent 8 years in Saint-Etienne and 7 years in Paris. I put the two clubs on the same level because I have great memories. The park was my garden because I played there with PSG and the France team. I was a manager at Saint-Etienne for a few years and I don't think we've ever won at the park! It's a pleasure for me to experience these matches. These are two clubs that I follow all the time and I don't miss a single match from both. »
“The Saint-Etienne supporters were not very happy (sic)” (Rocheteau before PSG-ASSE)
My best memory as a Parisian: “PSG's first title in the 1982 French Cup final with a great Saint-Etienne who had Michel Platini, Johnny Rep and I scored the goal at the very end of the equalizer which allowed us to go to penalties on goal… On the other hand, the Saint-Etienne supporters were not very happy (sic). I remember that the public invaded the pitch. I think that somewhere that day, we gained an audience. When I came to Paris with Saint-Etienne at the time, there were a lot of people from Saint-Etienne in the stands. I had quite a few friends on the opposing team because there were a lot of players from the France team. We met again for the 1982 World Cup after this meeting. »
“I have seen all the PSG matches this year and I think they have a great team. They worked well. I have the impression that there is continuity compared to before where it changed every year. We feel a good atmosphere in the team. There is nothing to say about the French championship. After the most important match, it is the one against Manchester City in the Champions League. »
