Fonseca gained greater notoriety after winning the Next Gen Finals Tournament, a championship that brings together the best tennis players in the world up to 20 years old, placing himself alongside athletes such as Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who are among the best in the world. Previously, he had won the US Open youth and reached first place in the world in the category.

Fonseca’s team, led by Guilherme Teixeira since he was 12 years old, includes physiotherapist Egidio Magalhães Junior and physical trainer Emmanuel Jimenez, ensuring that at least two professionals accompany him in all tournaments, a difference in national tennis. Fonseca himself highlights the importance of Teixeira, whom he considers “almost a father”.
