Video: Osaka beats Garcia, says LA wildfires were three blocks from her house
Four-times Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka defeated Caroline Garcia to advance to the second round of the Australian Open.
The Japanese star revealed after the match that the Los Angeles wildfires, which have swept through California, had come as close as three blocks to her home, prompting her to get someone to collect her daughter’s birth certificate from the house in case it was damaged.
