Booker T has still got it.
The last time we saw Booker T in action was when he emerged as a surprise entrant in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble. Before that, his last singles match was all the way back in January 2019 at a Reality of Wrestling event, where he defeated Rex Andrews. It seemed like Booker’s in-ring days might be over, but the Hall of Famer laced up his boots once again last night.
Appearing again for Reality of Wrestling – a promotion owned and operated by Booker and his wife Sharmell Huffman – Booker T faced off against Zilla Fatu, picking up his first singles win in six years. In the lead up to the match, Booker had promised to “spank [Zilla] like a newborn baby”.
At 59 years of age, Booker T recently joked that his iconic Spineroonie dance is no longer easy to pull off, sometimes requiring a three-to-four-hour warm-up. While that may the case, Booker showed he’s still capable of running the ropes and working alongside up-and-coming talent such as Zilla Fatu.
Who is Zilla Fatu?
-25-year-old Zilla Fatu has wrestled predominantly for Reality of Wrestling (ROW) while also working for Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). Part of the Anoaʻi family, Zilla Fatu is the son of the late, great, Umaga, and cousin of Solo Sikoa. The Main One made headlines last month after his win against Joey Avalon at GLCW Blizzard Brawl, calling out Sikoa and aligning himself with Roman Reigns.
Booker T Backs Divisive WWE Change: “I’m All In, I Like It”
With Raw’s historic move over to Netflix, it’s fair to say that there has been a lot of change taking place at WWE. One of the most main talking points has been the length of Raw and SmackDown, with the first episodes of 2025 each being 3 hours long. While some have argued the shows don’t need to be this long, Booker T doesn’t see a problem with it.
