VAR gives Osasuna a breather

Javier Saldise’s analysis

Osasuna faces a very difficult match against Atlético de Madrid because not in vain is Simeone’s team perhaps the one that is in the most competitive shape and, in addition, it presents overwhelming numbers in the sum of all the competitions and, of course, also at home -they have six consecutive victories-. All these factors indicate that the rojillos face a rival at a good time, driven by the quality of a squad with good players. Vicente Moreno is going to take precautions to make Atlético as difficult as possible and, for this reason, presents a lineup with reinforcement in the defensive aspect, with five defenders: three center backs and two long backs. Until then, more or less what was expected, because it was not the substitution of Areso, Aimar Oroz, Jon Moncayola or Ante Budimir, all of them heavyweights on the team. Rubén Peña, Pablo Ibáñez, Moi Gómez and Raúl García are the alternatives. Vicente Moreno looks more than out of the corner of his eye at the Cup tie.
