Only two big evenings left before knowing the name of the big winner of this 2024 edition of the “Star Academy”, on TF1. Who will succeed Pierre Garnier and sign a contract with the prestigious record company Sony Music to record their first album? This Saturday, January 11, there were still 4 claiming the title at the start of the evening: Franck, Ebony, Marine and Charles. The latter two experienced a particularly stressful prime since they were pitted against each other (Franck and Ebony will be in the second semi-final, next week on TF1). So, who, Charles or Marine, was chosen as the first finalist of the season by viewers?
A breathtaking bonus
A few days before the grand final, the level has gone up another notch. Franck, who was chosen at the start of the week by Ebony to share his semi-final, made a strong impression on the teachers during the evaluations. Like his friend Ebony, he presented them with the painting he wanted to perform during the prime, and completely won over the faculty. This evening, the 23-year-old candidate was able to perform this famous painting, to Tom Odell’s song “Heal”. A performance very appreciated by the teachers and in particular by the director Michael Goldman.
Another highlight of this evening: Noah’s comeback! The candidate, eliminated before the qualifying bonus for the grand final, had the pleasure of sharing a song with his friend Charles. The young Breton indeed won a duel this week between him and Marine and was able to choose the student of his choice to share a moment on the prime. Unsurprisingly, he suggested the name of his great friend Noah, from whom he was inseparable during the first weeks of the adventure. The two friends shared the title of Calogero “It’s said”, to the great pleasure of the public happy to see the duo reform.

Marine and Charles, the two students in danger this evening, occupied the stage a lot. The Lille candidate shared a suspended moment with Canadian singer Chalortte Cardin on the song “Feel Good”, and performed solo the iconic “My heart will go on” by Céline Dion. Charles sang to him on stage with Charlie Winston on his hit “Like a Hobo”. For his solo title, the 18-year-old candidate tackled the very difficult “SOS of an earthling in distress” by Daniel Balavoine, and brought tears to the students and his teachers. The two students also shared a trio with Sting, on his cult song “Message in a bottle”, in addition to having “faced” each other during various battles.
Franck and Ebony shared the stage with Jamaican DJ Shaggy on “Angel”, as well as with Camélia Jordana, on the track “Facile”.
At the end of this particularly dense bonus, it was Charles who was eliminated by the public. Marine is therefore the first student officially qualified for the final of this 2024 season of the “Star Academy”. See you next Saturday to find out who, Ebony or Franck, she will face during the final bonus on January 25.
