Maracaibo woke up this Friday, January 10, the day of the presidential inauguration, with little influx of people on the streets in sectors such as Veritas, La Lago, Las Lomas, La Pícola, October 18, 100th Street (Sabaneta) and 16th Avenues. (Goajira), 2 (El Milagro), 8 (Santa Rita) and 28 (La Clean). Low student attendance is reported in schools.
In the central part of the city, users report to The Truth Newspaper that most informal businesses did not open. The same occurs in sectors such as Las Lomas, Amparo and 18 de Octubre, as well as on Santa Rita Avenue and Sabaneta Street.
In areas such as Veritas and the Don Matías Shopping Center, on 77th Street (5 de Julio) with Bella Vista, and the Viento Norte Shopping Center, located on Fuerzas Armadas Avenue, they operate normally.
As for public transport, some lines in the northern area work, but with fewer units than usual. Several drivers decided to work normally during the morning and, they say, they will wait for the development of the day to decide whether to continue or return to their homes.
In points of La Pintura and the Lago Azul urbanization they report police and national guard mobilization.
