Hours after parting ways with manager Sean Dyche, Everton secured a 2-0 victory over Peterborough, from the third tier of English football, confirming their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Marco Silva’s Fulham progressed to the fourth round today by defeating Watford, from the second division, with a convincing 4-1 scoreline, on a day where top-flight Everton also moved onto the next stage.
The impressive victory for the Portuguese managed side came in the second half, after a tightly contested first half that ended with the score tied. Rodrigo Muniz opened the scoring for the home side in the 26th minute, only for Rocco Vata to level the match seven minutes later.
At Craven Cottage in London, Raúl Jiménez netted Fulham’s second from the penalty spot just after the break in the 49th minute, followed by Joachim Andersen extending the lead in the 65th minute. Castagne capped off the scoring with a goal in the 85th minute.

Just hours after the dismissal of Dyche, Everton, under the interim stewardship of U18 coach Leighton Baines and with João Virgínia in goal, opened the scoring in their match against Peterborough at the 42-minute mark with a goal from Beto, then secured their second in stoppage time courtesy of Ndiaye in the 90+8 minute.
