Kvaratskhelia has still not extended his contract to Naples, PSG remains attentive (but it’s complicated)

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) has still not responded to Napoli’s contract extension proposal. A situation that PSG is monitoring carefully, including Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, great admirers of the player.

PSG remains very attentive to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23 years old). In the club’s sights for several months, the Georgian winger from Naples has still not followed up on the contract extension proposal from his club with which he is linked until 2027. The situation has not escaped the notice of PSG which has been monitoring the Georgian international (40 caps, 17 goals) since the start of the transfer window even if the path is not easy.

Kvaratskhelia not insensitive

The Italian club is very demanding for a possible transfer of the former Rubin Kazan player (2019-2022) who is not insensitive to the strong Parisian interest. Kvaratskhelia also has two strong supporters in the French capital: coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Camps adore the player.

had already been interested in his profile last summer but Naples had retained him. “The president promised me that they (Kvaratskhelia and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Editor’s note) would stay and that’s what they did,” coach Antonio Conte said in July. “The credit goes to the club. They are two good elements.”

His agent Mamuka Jugeli also affirmed that his future depended above all on the wishes of President Aurelio De Laurentiis, on the sidelines of the last Euro finished in the round of 16 by Georgia. “If he wants to sell Kvara, he will leave. If he wants to offer a new contract, Kvara will extend,” he said. Six months later, the winger has still not responded to the Neapolitan offer.

Kvaratskhelia had been one of the big players in Naples’ historic Serie A title in the 2022-2023 season with 12 goals and 13 assists in the league. He is still an essential part of Antonio Conte’s starting lineup this season (5 goals, 3 assists in 19 games) and is part of the great run of the Napolitans, currently first in Serie A.
