In February there will be two new films in the crime series “Dünentod” on RTL and RTL+. But the fans also have to say goodbye.
Missions 6 and 7 are coming soon in the RTL series “Dünentod”. These will celebrate their German premiere in February and can be streamed in advance on RTL+. But you will have to say goodbye to a popular character.
Then it continues with “Dünentod” on RTL and RTL+
“Dünentod – A North Sea Crime Story” continues on RTL on February 11th and 18th and you can stream the films in advance on the streaming service RTL+ a week beforehand. Chief Inspector Tjark Wolf (Hendrik Duryn) and his colleague Chief Inspector Femke Folkmer (Pia Barucki) are once again on the hunt for criminals on the Frisian coast. In addition, a continuation is already certain. However, part of the duo will then leave. The seventh case will be the last for Barucki.
-Femke Folkmer won my heart with her somewhat brittle but sharp and combative nature and I loved being able to embody her for three years. I would like to thank our loyal viewers who have so graciously welcomed this new series and us as an ensemble, as well as RTL and the production company Made For Film, who have entrusted me with this fine role and accompanied me on this journey with respect and love and of course the many colleagues in front of and behind the camera who put all their effort into realizing these stories.”
That’s what the two new episodes of “Dünentod” on RTL and RTL+ are about
This is how it continues, according to RTL. In “Shadows of the Past” (based on the novel “Dünenblut” by Sven Koch), Tjark and Femke have to deal with two murder cases. In addition to the murder weapon, both cases have one thing in common: the perpetrator numbers the dead in messages that he sends to Tjark via SMS. The investigative team is faced with a mystery: Why is the perpetrator sending messages to Tjark?
In “Deadly Secrets” (based on the novel “Dune Storm” by Sven Koch), the two chief detectives investigate the murder of an initially unknown dead man. Horrified, Femke recognizes him as a friend from her youth who she hasn’t seen for a long time. His death appears to be related to a burglary that strangely went unreported. The trail of the investigation leads Femke and Tjark directly into the better society of the small community of Bülkersiehl…
This time, the regular ensemble also includes Florian Panzner (“Dark”) in the role of Tjark’s superior Hauke Berndsten, Yasemin Cetinkaya (“WaPo Duisburg”) as the experienced investigator Ceylan Özer, Rainer Reiners as Thorsten Nibbe, the police station manager in the tranquil Werlersiel, and Alessija Lause (“Boom Boom Bruno”), Eugene Boateng (“Tribes of Europa”) is also still there. In episode roles z. B. Banafshe Hourzmadi (“Loving Her”), Johann von Bülow (“Das Boot”), Robert Maaser (“Blood & Gold”) and Özgür Karadeniz (“Dear Child”) can be seen.
The series “Dünentod – A North Sea Crime Story” is a production by MadeFor Film on behalf of RTL. The producers are Mirko Schulze, Nanni Erben and Gunnar Juncken. The executive producer for RTL is Nico Grein, and the editor is Solveig Welcome under the direction of Hauke Bartel, Head of Fiction RTL Germany.
