RTL is currently broadcasting “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” again? “The 3 million euro week”. But the quiz show special faces strong competition.
Cologne – On Tuesday evening (January 7th) “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” was shown again on RTL. The 3 million euro week”. In the special with Günther Jauch (68), the candidates fight in four episodes to get into the final show on Friday (January 10th). As the name suggests, they ultimately win 3 million euros. Nevertheless, another quiz show is overtaking RTL.
This quiz show overtakes “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”
RTL’s ratings are definitely impressive. The primetime program even achieved primetime victory in the target group of 14 to 49 year olds on Tuesday (January 7th). This is where “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” The 3 million euro week” according to dwdl.de with 0.58 million viewers, a 14.9 percent market share.
In terms of the total audience, however, 2.98 million people tuned in, which equates to a rate of 15.3 percent. Another quiz show can look forward to even better results: “Who knows something like that?” was seen by 3.48 million people. This means that the ARD format gets 20.9 percent and is still ahead of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Although the formats are not in direct competition, as the show about Kai Pflaume (57) is already running at 5:58 p.m., it is still a great success for the ARD quiz.
Also in prime time: ARD wins the day
Things also ran like clockwork for ARD during prime time. After the “Tagesschau” at 8 p.m., “The Law Firm” won the day with the overall audience. The series was watched by 4.24 million people. This means that ARD can look forward to a rating of 16.5 percent. “The Law Firm” also achieved a 9.4 percent market share (0.47 million viewers) among younger audiences.
On RTL, however, there were some bizarre moments again. A “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” candidate was a urologist and really upset Günther Jauch. Source used: dwdl.de
