Wolves take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League tonight, Vitor Pereira will be pitting his wits against former Molineux favourite Nuno Espirito Santo.
A tough game lies in wait for Wolves, with Forest flying high in third in the Premier League table.
The Reds have surprised everybody this term, but Vitor Pereira has made a solid start to life at Molineux and will be looking to burst Nuno’s bubble tonight.
Wolves will be without talisman Matheus Cunha after his FA charge and suspension.
But Wolves still have the potential to get a result tonight at Molineux, with prospective new signing Emmanuel Agbadou expected to be in attendance.
Ahead of the game, Nuno Espirito Santo shared how he is feeling ahead of returning to Molineux again.
Nuno says ‘we’ll stick with our memories forever’ ahead of return to Wolves
Nuno has faced Pereira a few times before in his career.
The pair have met three times in Portugal and a couple of days ago, and it will be interesting to see them do battle once more tonight for the first time in a long time.
Nuno said he’s noticed an increase in confidence of the Wolves players under Pereira, and he’s also admitted the memories he made at Wolves will stick with him ‘forever’.
Asked if he was relishing a trip to Molineux, he said (via Sky Sports): “Of course, of course. We spent four years there. It was nice. I think we’ll stick with our memories forever. The coaching staff, the players, Morgan [Gibbs-White] is coming back. It’s quite nice.”
Nuno recently wished Pereira well at Wolves, after his announcement as the new head coach at Molineux.
A big test for Wolves as high-flying Nuno makes Molineux return
Nuno has been back to Molineux a couple of times since leaving the club, with Forest and also Tottenham Hotspur.
But he’s never been back in the position he finds himself now, which is as the manager of a team that is massively exceeding expectations.

But Nuno working his magic at Forest won’t come as too much of a surprise to Wolves fans, who were able to enjoy many special times under the 50-year-old.
No Wolves fan would begrudge Nuno the success he is having right now, for all he did at Molineux.
But certainly, sentiment will go out the window once that first whistle blows and the game kicks off – hopefully, Pereira can get the better of him.
