The 2025 Golden Globes will have been particularly favorable to France. The latter thus made history by becoming the first transgender actress to win this trophy.
After its triumph at the Golden Globes (where it received the awards for best musical or comedy film and best original song, but also those for best supporting actress for Zoe Saldaña and best foreign language film), Emilia Perez will perhaps continue his rise at the Oscars, where he was chosen to represent France. Nominations will not be announced until January 17.
