The South African Henk Lategan (Toyota) wins the prologue of the Dakar 2025, Sébastien Loeb (Dacia) 6th

It was Henk Lategan, the South African champion, who was the fastest. Too fiery on his first two Dakars, he had not managed to convert his burst of speed into a good place overall. Reverse scenario last year, with a good fifth place overall. Lategan was one second ahead of Ford driver Matias Ekström, winner of the prologue last year.
