Super Cup, ratings boom for Inter-Atalanta: almost 5.4 million viewers on Canale 5

Boom in ratings for the Italian Super Cup semi-final between Inter and Atalanta. In particular, the match attracted 5,389,000 viewers with a share of 25.4% on Canale 5: in detail, the pre- and post-shows overall reached 3,659,000 viewers with 18.3%, while the first half had 5,314,000 spectators with 25.9% and the second half 5,454,000 spectators with 24.9%. Furthermore, Supercoppa Italiana Live attracted 1,820,000 spectators equal to a 9.8% share.

These are strong growth figures compared to the last edition, the first held in Saudi Arabia with the Final Four format. In detail, in fact, the two semi-finals of the edition played in January 2024 had attracted an average of 4.0 million spectators with a share of 18.8%.

Furthermore, the figure for the semi-final between Inter and Atalanta was also higher than three finals played in recent years, in particular that of 2017 between Juventus and Lazio (5.5 million spectators), that of 2012 between Juventus and Napoli (4 .9 million spectators) and that of 2015 between Juventus and Lazio (4.6 million spectators), although all three had higher figures in terms of share.

Finally, the match is also the most watched free-to-air match so far in club competitions in the 2024/25 season, surpassing the 3.5 million viewers of Juventus-Cagliari, valid for the round of 16 of the Italian Cup.
