Everybody believes their children are extraordinary but when these youngsters started coming out with strange things, it sent chills down their parents’ spines.

They claimed to have memories and flashbacks of a past life that haunted them in their sleep and left them with phobias that could not be explained. They all shared their stories on LMN on a programme called The Ghost Inside My Child.

Among them was a seven-year-old who said he remembered being buried under rubble during the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center in New York.

Another little boy claimed to have been an African woman in his past life as he recalls jumping from a window to escape a flat fire.

Here, we take a look at the cases:

9/11 victim

Cade was just aged three when he started saying he remembers dying.

His mum, Molly said he would just start crying in the middle of the night and he would wake up screaming about working in a tall building where he could see the Statue of Liberty from his office.

She said: “He told me he dreamt that he was falling with the building like the way he died…I noted it as an oddism but I never thought anything of it. I just thought he had a vivid imagination.”

But as Cade got older, he became “obsessed with planes” and was “frantic” around tall buildings.

Molly admitted that she would make excuses for her son’s behaviour for a while but it got to a point where she “couldn’t deny it anymore.”

She said: “He just flat out said that he was in a building that was hit by something, that it exploded and that he had fallen.

“The pieces suddenly came together like a puzzle, the planes, the tall buildings. This person was at the World Trade Center.”

Cade himself said: “The plane hit the World Trade Center then it got stuck in the building.

“When I was falling, I was still alive and then all the rubble hit me. I didn’t feel anything because I died.”

Cade told his parents what his former name was and they set to work investigating, eventually tracking down a man who worked and died at the Twin Towers whose “life mimics what Cade describes his life and death was.”

“I was absolutely shocked. I pulled up the obituary, the pictures, but I’d never thought about contacting the victim’s family,” Molly said.

No further information about Cade has been publicised since. He would now be aged 20.

Titanic architect

College student, Jamey believes he was the ill-fated ship’s architect, Thomas Andrews in a past life. His obsession with the ship, that hit an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912, began when he was just five years old.

His mum said he was “terrified of deep water” from an early age and claims he was able to recall her childhood bike while looking down on her from a “window in Heaven.”

A few years later, he had a “terrifying death dream” where he screamed “she’s going down.”

Jamey later started having night terrors where his parents would hear him “thrashing around.”

Then, one night when she had gone out and left him with a babysitter, she was horrified to return to find he’d watched the second half of the movie, Titanic.

“The next day, he started drawing and painting picture after picture of the Titanic. Within the first two weeks, he had probably painted 50 pictures,” his mum said.

One of the pictures had over 100 windows, another showed all the levels inside the vessel.

“He knew the ship by heart. You can’t learn that by watching the movie. The movie was actually more about the love story.”

She added: “Jamey was completely distraught over the fact that the people in the boiler room died first, like it was his fault that they were trapped.

Jamey’s mum spoke of her shock as her five-year-old reeled off some of the mistakes that had been made during the construction of the ship, including that iron was used instead of steel.

Meanwhile, as Jamey’s obsession grew, she began to research the Titanic and “finally came to the conclusion about who Jamey was.”

She believed him to be one of the ship’s architects, Thomas Andrews who designed several ships for the White Star Line and would go on all their maiden voyages. On the fateful night in 1912, Thomas chose not to get on a lifeboat and went down with the ship.

At the end of the interview, filmed in 2023, a then 19-year-old Wisconsin college student Jamey, shed light on his ordeal.

He said: “I would like to think that I was probably Thomas Andrews, just because of the personality traits and what he did is what I would’ve done. He gave himself up to let others get off the ship.

“It was a horrible tragedy in history and I’m just very at peace with it knowing I died on the Titanic.”

Murdered uncle

When Brayden ran straight to his great uncle’s grave and broke down in tears, his family was left stunned.

The youngster had never visited the cemetery before and wasn’t aware of where John Barker was buried. Nor had he ever even met the man murdered before he was born.

Yet Brayden would come out with strange things about the 32-year-old’s death insisting that he was there that fateful night in 2000. He even unpicked some holes in the case leading to the family to call for the murder investigation to be reopened.

Brayden’s mum, Morgan recalled: “I said: ‘Son, you didn’t never know your Uncle John.’ When I told him that, he just went crazy, hysterical on me. ‘Yes I did, yes I did, I was there the night he got killed.'”

Morgan added: “Nobody had ever, ever spoke a word of Uncle John, his death or anything to Brayden. Brayden was not alive when his Uncle John was killed. That’s what made it so strange when Brayden started saying unusual things.”

John from Arkansas was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest in March 2000 at the age of 32. But Brayden’s “recollection” of the incident led to doubts around what actually happened.

Speaking to filmmakers himself, Brayden said: “I sleepwalk like John, I act bad like John and how I know this is my dreams.

“John can call through me. I don’t feel like him but when he goes through me and stays in me, I feel like a ghost.”

Fire death

When five-year-old Luke Ruehlman randomly started talking about an African American woman called Pam, some eerie details began to emerge. His mum, Erika admitted that when she asked her son who Pam was, his response sent shivers down her spine.

“He turned to me and said, ‘Well, I was. Well, I used to be, but I died and I went up to heaven,” she told Fox8. “I saw God and then eventually, God pushed me back down and I was a baby and you named me Luke.'”

The family from Cincinnati, Ohio, were taken aback when their son claimed he had travelled by train in Chicago, a city they had never visited with him.

Luke shared haunting details about his attempts to flee a burning building before he “met God.”

Erika decided to delve into the strange claims and was stunned to discover that a woman called Pam Robinson was one of 19 victims who leapt from a window during a fire at Chicago’s Paxton Hotel in 1993.

Erika added: “He used to say: ‘When I was a girl, I had black hair’ or he would say: ‘I used to have earrings like that when I was a girl.'”

The producers of a paranormal investigations show, The Ghost Inside My Child also delved into Luke’s intriguing case.

During the programme, he was presented with a page full of photos of black women in their 30s and was asked to identify Pam.

Remarkably, he managed to pick her out on his first attempt, as shown on the programme.

In light of this eerie revelation, Luke’s mother decided to get in touch with Pam’s family.

She revealed that they described Pam’s personality and pointed out uncanny similarities between her and Luke, such as their shared love for Stevie Wonder and playing the keyboard.

Empire State Building crash

Claire had always been an extraordinary baby but when she reached the age of eight, she became terrified of flying – even though she’d never been on an aircraft before.

Claire then told her mum, Karen that a plane had crashed through the side of a building in New York and that she’d seen some of it come through the wall.

Karen discovered that an army bomber had got lost in the overcast on July 28, 1945, when it crashed into the Empire State Building, blasting through the 79th floor before landing across the street.

All three crewmen on board were killed along with 10 people working in the skyscraper. Another 25 were injured.

Karen said: “I was amazed to find that it really did happen. I realised this was more than just a story. She was remembering a past life.

“The year even matched the description of the clothes she had told me about.”

Claire herself said: “I remember the names Rose or Ann and that I had two children.

“I was working inisde of a cubicle in the Empire State Building when the plane’s wing crashed into my office.

“All I remember was the crash, the rest was fuzzy.”

After researching the victims, Claire believes she could have been a woman called Anna Gerlach who was Irish and had red hair.

Anna had two children and her mum was called Rose. She died instantly on impact.

Claire, who is no longer afraid of flying since visiting the Empire State Building, said: “I found that I actually died in the Empire State Building in the crash.

“It’s nice to put the pieces of the puzzle together and find out who I was in the end.

“I realse I’m not in that lifetime and I can’t be hurt any more and don’t have to be afraid any more.”
