At the center of the Weasley family, and giving this little bit of humor and madness to the saga thanks to his tribulations in the company of his twin brother GeorgeFred Weasley dies suddenly during the Battle of Hogwarts. A fatal outcome that we do not see in detail in the film, since thewe understand that Ron's eldest died at the sight of his lifeless body. But then, what happened, and who killed him?
Who caused the explosion that killed Fred Weasley?
As detailed much better in the last volume of the novels Harry Potter, it is an explosion which causes Fred's death. An explosion caused by Augustus Rookwooda Death Eater working in the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic, and a great ally of Voldemort. Although he dies away from his twin brother, it is nevertheless written that Fred is found with a smile on his face, after laughing at a joke from his brother Percy, emphasizing their reconciliation. A very poignant ending.
