François Rebsamen, former socialist breaking with the party, in regional planning

After a right-wing local elected official, a left-wing local elected official. But the mission is the same: it was François Rebsamen that the Prime Minister, François Bayrou, asked, Monday December 23, to reconcile the territories, “ above” and “France below” .

Like Catherine Vautrin, whom he succeeds, Mr. Rebsamen is anchored in his region: mayor of Dijon until November, the new minister of regional planning and decentralization should undoubtedly remain president of the metropolis from Dijon. In 2013, he opposed the law on the non-cumulation of mandates, a position which has now become that of François Bayrou.

“We must bring the French together”declared the Prime Minister on BFM- on Monday evening. But we must also give the country a budget. This will be François Bayrou's first file and perhaps the first obstacle François Rebsamen will face.
