You now have to take a very specific path to access the famous Trevi Fountain, one of the most popular monuments in Rome, Italy. What do visitors say about it?

In Rome (Italy), in front of the Trevi Fountain, certain things do not change: if coin tossing and selfies remain unavoidable, from now on, visitors must wait before accessing the pool. They are counted by municipal agents, one by one. “It’s limited, we can’t have more than 400 people in this space”explains a Roman agent.

The municipality has implemented a single direction of traffic with a single entrance, which generates a queue to approach the site. If it remains rather fast and fluid, some people get annoyed. “We didn’t queue”is surprised by a French woman, who claims not to have understood the new regulations in force for contemplating the fountain. But those who had already come believe that it is much better this way. “Before there were really too many crowds, it was oppressive”comments a woman. The town hall does not rule out introducing a paid ticket.
