The report was awaited, and the King affirmed that the Moroccan family is greater than men and women – TelQuel Arabic

Lubna Al-Saghiri, a member of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee for Justice and Legislation in the House of Representatives, considered that “the Royal Court’s communication regarding the family code came at the appropriate time, or in other words, the touches of royal wisdom on this very important issue were awaited by the activities interested in the issue, on the one hand, And by all Moroccans, on the other hand.”

Al-Saghiri recorded, in a statement to “Telquel Arabi,” that “the royal recommendations for all groups, whether the Supreme Scientific Council, or the Minister of Justice, as the head of the committee charged with reviewing the Code, indicate the wisdom of the King of the country, which stipulates, first, the necessity of adopting the special amendments.” Solutions that are compatible with Sharia, and those concerned have the ability to derive Sharia rulings in parallel with moderation and moderation. I highlight these two principles here, because we do not want extremism and fanaticism.

The same spokeswoman highlighted that “Morocco is considered a model for Arab countries and a gateway to Africa. Therefore, any legal developments it brings will be a beacon for these countries.”

Al-Saghiri continued, “The royal recommendation will draw up a road map for the Ministry of Justice, as the King of the country stipulated the need to take into account the new constitutional provisions, and to take into account the international agreements ratified by Morocco. The King also put his finger on the most important thing in the code. It is not the man or the woman, but rather The Moroccan family, which is considered larger than both of them together.”

A member of the Permanent Parliamentary Committee for Justice and Legislation in the House of Representatives explained: “If we are going to formulate laws, we will not win in drafting them, neither for men nor for women, but rather for the family, primarily, and for the children of that family.”

Al-Saghiri indicated, in the same statement, that “the royal recommendations are not directed only to the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, but even to the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and the Family, which is considered an essential partner.”

She also recorded: “On the other hand, it is clear to us, through the Ministry of Endowments’ talk about the matter of interest, the effort it has made, so as not to remain tied to legal restrictions, as it has tried to come up with proposals that are consistent with centrism and moderation.”

Regarding civil society, the same speaker noted the King of the country’s reference to his participation as well, given that he is “an authentic and original partner in a text that relates to it, essentially,” describing it as “the mouthpiece of society.”
