The deputy for the first constituency of Corse-du-Sud and former mayor of Ajaccio, Laurent Marcangeli, has just been appointed Minister of Public Action, Civil Service and Simplification of François Bayrou's government.
The announcement was made by the Secretary General of the Élysée, Alexis Kohler, this Monday, December 23.

Gérald Darmanin, former Minister of the Interior, becomes Keeper of the Seals and inherits Justice.

Éric Lombard, general director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, is appointed Minister of the Economy.
Rachida Dati remains Minister of Culture.
Manuel Valls, former prime minister under François Hollande, is appointed minister responsible for overseas territories.
Annie Genevard is Minister of Agriculture.
Marie Barsac appointed Minister of Sports and community life.
Jean-Noël Barrot remains Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Aurore Bergé, appointed Minister of Equality and the Fight against Discrimination.
