When Will Mufasa: The Lion King Be Streaming On Disney+?

Mufasa: The Lion King will be available for streaming on Disney+ at a later date. Fans can expect the live-action film to arrive on Disney’s streaming service approximately three months after its theatrical debut, likely in March 2025.

For example, Walt Disney Pictures’ Wish premiered in theaters in November 2023 and became available on Disney+ just over three months later. Similarly, the animated blockbuster Inside Out 2 was added to Disney’s streaming platform more than three months after its theatrical release. Last year’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid also followed a similar timeline, landing on Disney+ roughly three months and nine days after its theatrical release.

To watch Mufasa: The Lion King when it lands on Disney+, viewers must sign up for a subscription to the streaming platform. Plans start at $7.99 per month for the basic option (with ads). Currently, Disney+ does not provide a free trial. However, the service offers a bundle option with existing subscriptions to ESPN+ or Hulu.
