Kane declares Bayern's goal gala to be a “benchmark for all games” – Dreesen optimistic for 2025

According to the “dominant idea”

After the Munich goal gala at the end of the year, Bayern striker Harry Kane said goodbye to his Christmas vacation with big goals, even without scoring his own goal. “That is the benchmark for all games,” said the 31-year-old Englishman after the 5-1 win against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

His return three weeks after a torn muscle fiber was very good for the German record champions, the offensive department delivered again. Kane spoke of a “dominant performance” and, looking ahead to 2025, said: “It was a great way to end the year. We have to take that with us into the new year.” Then we will go into the second half of the season as league leaders with at least a four-point lead. “We put pressure on the competition,” said the goalscorer, referring to the rivals’ games this weekend. “I'm glad to be back. It’s hard to watch from the outside,” said the center forward about his injury break.

FC Bayern: Dreesen is starting the new year with a lot of confidence

Jamal Musiala, Joshua Kimmich, Konrad Laimer, Leroy Sané and Alphonso Davies scored against clearly inferior Leipzig. “It was too little in all areas,” said sports director Marcel Schäfer: “Bayern did well and showed that they are a top team.”

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen spoke of “a wonderful end to a year that was not always easy” for his club. “We are pleased to be able to continue our lead from the top of the table with a little more advantage.” At the end of the first half of the season, he did not want to speculate about possible title wins after the previous season without a title. But we are going into the new year “with a lot of confidence,” said Dreesen.
