PSG risks a double sanction for Kylian Mbappé

PSG did not forget to wish Kylian Mbappé a happy birthday, his 26th birthday, this Friday. However, the conflict between the top scorer in the club's history and his former employer is still alive. The New Madrid player is still claiming €55 million in unpaid salaries and bonuses dating from the end of last season. His lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, also contacted the FFF today according to information from The Team. Through two letters, she appealed to the federation's higher appeals committee since PSG still refuses to pay the amount due, despite the decision of the LFP legal committee dated September 11 in favor of the player. This decision was also confirmed by the LFP joint appeals committee on October 25. The objective is to have the FFF note the non-compliance with these decisions by PSG. But he believes that these commissions have no power in this matter. He even took the LFP before the Judicial Court in order to obtain the annulment of the first two decisions favorable to the Mbappé clan, which was granted to him by the LFP disciplinary committee. The club will only comply with a decision of the Industrial Court.

In the second letter, the Madrilenian's lawyer asks the FFF for the follow-up to his request with regard to the “validity of the UEFA Club license, granted to the Paris Saint Germain club for the 2024-2025 season“. The regulations of the European body provide that a club whose debts are recognized to a player can lose its license, essential to compete in the European Cups. The FFF then serves as an intermediary between the club and UEFA. It is through this means that PSG could be doubly sanctioned, if the FFF's higher appeals commission confirms the first decisions of the LFP. There would first be condemnation at the national level then at the continental level if UEFA chooses to take up the matter and considers that the Parisian club is reprehensible. This dispute promises to last several more months.
