A blunder which did not go unnoticed: on December 14, during the parade of 30 regional Misses in traditional costumes, Miss Lorraine’s outfit caused a sensation… but not for the right reasons. And for good reason: it was worn backwards!
On December 14, the 30 regional Misses met at the Futuroscope Arena in Poitiers to participate in the Miss France 2025 election. For more than two hours, they performed parades and choreographies: from the traditional passage in a bikini at the parade in regional costumes, they lit up the stage. However, as is often the case, some of the costumes sparked harsh criticism on social media. That of Miss Lorraine, in particular, has been compared by some Internet users to a Power Rangers costume. Faced with this torrent of comments, Wesley Forstinger, creator of the outfit, wanted to react in the columns of Republican Lorraine . He revealed that the costume had actually been worn backwards by the Miss… Oops!
“The suit was worn backwards. The back was front. The cape was not attached correctly and was not in the intended shape. And the crown was installed haphazardly,” he clarified, not without bitterness. “This costume had lots of symbols everywhere. But in the end, it all no longer made sense. Everyone who accompanied me on this adventure is disgusted but since then, I have also had a great outpouring of support. They want fix it all.” As a reminder, Assia Roosz-Tomenti, Miss Lorraine 2024, paraded in a fitted white and green suit, enhanced with a colorful and transparent cape.

Miss France 2025: a creator not too resentful
Giraumont designer specializing in tailor-made costumes for cinema and trade shows, Wesley Forstinger, however, decided not to hold this error too harsh on the Miss France committee. “She has very little time to change her costume each time. It’s super stressful,” he stressed to our colleagues. The artist, who made this outfit voluntarily, also shared images on Facebook of the costume worn correctly this time.
He also revealed to Republican Lorraine having contacted the Miss France committee to discuss a solution aimed at repairing the damage caused to its image as a creator. “The costume is fine, it was ‘JUST’ put on inside out… There you go, well, in all this bad there is some positive, we are going to do a communication around this soon with them it should be better”. More fear than harm, then! It remains to be seen whether Wesley Forstinger will agree to collaborate again with Miss France in the future…
