Invited alongside Pedro Almodóvar and Julianne Moore to talk about the film The Room Next Doorexpected in January, she also opened her heart to a very intimate moment: the loss of her father after having mentioned the death of Marisa Paredes, one of the director’s favorite actresses. With great sincerity, she recounted the last moments spent with him, surrounded by his brothers and sisters. “There were several of us in his apartment until the end. Deciding where to take someone for their last moments, sharing this precious time…”she confided, visibly moved. She looks back on her participation in Hot Ones
In the rest of the interview, Camille Cottin made much lighter confidences. Mohamed Bouhafsi spoke about his time in Hot Onesthe crazy Canal+ show where guests take part in an interview while eating ultra-spicy chicken wings. If the sequences are often hilarious on screen, Camille Cottin admitted that the filming had left its mark and that she had been very ill afterwards.
“Afterwards, I was horribly ill. Crazy cramps… I was in the middle of reading for a film by Emmanuel Mouret, with Grégoire Ludig. I stopped dead and ended up sprawled on the tiles, undressed, moaning”, she said, between laughter and embarrassment. Mohamed Bouhafsi, columnist for the show, praised his endurance: “After trying, I had to lie down for an hour!” Camille Cottin confirmed: “The pain is truly excruciating. When you’re not used to it, it’s hellish.” A spicy memory that she clearly won’t soon forget!
