American stock markets closed in the red, before the Fed’s decision on Wednesday evening. A further easing of 25 basis points is expected. Retail sales came out better than expected in November. On the value side, Pfizer posted the largest increase in the S&P 500 after announcing its 2025 forecasts in line with expectations. The pharmaceutical company expects adjusted earnings per share of between 2.80 and 3.00 dollars (compared to 2.88 expected). The Dow Jones lost 0.61% to 43,449 points while the Nasdaq fell 0.32% to 20,109 points.
