The reason for the criminal proceedings is disruption of freedom of belief and worship, as a spokesman explained to the Watson news portal. Several criminal complaints were filed against the 32-year-old after the recordings were published on social media.

Ameti announces comeback in politics

At the weekend, the GLP politician spoke in detail about the incident to the media for the first time. In an interview with CH Media, she stated that she wanted to stay in politics. For her, giving up her political commitment was never an option, said the co-president of Operation Libero.

After the scandal surrounding the shooting at the image of the Virgin Mary, the 32-year-old had already publicly apologized. She also said in the most recent interview: “I’m ashamed and sorry for that.”

In the conversation, she also made a connection between her brother’s death and the publication of the shooting training. “It is a contextualization of what happened, not a justification,” Ameti said.

While she fired the shots, she thought about her brother. “My brother was killed before we fled,” said the lawyer, who was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina. She tried for a long time and again and again to escape the memory of it.

A pain arose in her during shooting training. «I couldn’t bear the pain alone and wanted to switch it off. And apparently didn’t know what else to do with it other than post it,” she said. That was “impulsive and rash”.
