It can help get through the month. France Travail, the Caf and the MSA, the Mutualité sociale agricole, must pay their Christmas bonus to minimum social beneficiaries, from this Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
More than 2.2 million French people with modest incomes are eligible for this bonus, created in 1998 and continued since. Namely households benefiting from one of its social allowances or benefits:
- active solidarity income (RSA)
- the specific solidarity allowance (ASS)
- the fixed bonus for resumption of activity
- the retirement equivalent allowance (AER).
How much is this bonus this year?
Not indexed to inflation, the amount of this Christmas bonus remains the same as in 2023. For RSA beneficiaries, its amount varies depending on the number of children and the composition of the household.
In mainland France, as in overseas territories (excluding Mayotte), this can range from €152.45 for a single person without children to €396.37 for a single person with four dependent children. Beyond that, €60.98 per additional child.
As an indication, for a couple with one child, the amount of this bonus is €274.41 and €320.15 for a couple with two children.
For Mayotte, the amounts are lower. This ranges from €76.23 to €175.33. For ASS or AER beneficiaries, the amount of the Christmas bonus is fixed and amounts to €152.45.
In all cases, it is paid automatically to eligible households. No action is necessary.
