Martin ends marriage at first sight with Jenny

Has the wedding at first sight marriage of Martin and Jenny another chance? There has been a crisis between the couple for some time. In an intensive conversation with the experts, they now put all their worries and doubts on the table to see what can happen next for them. Above all, Jenny is afraid that her newlyweds will “close themselves” to her and not want to get to know her any further. Martin, on the other hand, is still holding on to one moment in particular: when his partner called him a “motty bear” – which he couldn’t understand. He then decided to break off their time together for the time being. Instead of going to Jenny’s house after the honeymoon, he decided to go to his house. However, Martin has now realized that he reacted too “overly sensitively”, as he explains in the interview.

The sudden termination is still deeply in Jenny’s bones. “I felt abandoned and abandoned,” she admits. The feeling of security and being able to rely on him was gone. Expert Dr. According to Köhldorfer, both of them lacked empathy at that moment – the couple agrees with a nod. “My point of view is that there was nothing for me that we couldn’t get rid of and that I still see the special thing between us, that of course I want to continue to get to know him, that’s out of the question for me,” explains Jenny, but she was ultimately unable to realize this wish on his part. Martin then explains that he deliberately withdrew to find out what was going on inside him. For him, the situation during the return journey represents the highest level of “not being understood,” he explains and honestly adds: “The point is that I said for myself, that just doesn’t feel right to me anymore. It’s not a rational decision, it’s not a mental decision where you say, you’re going to make a plus and minus list, which is what I found good and what I didn’t like, it’s really a purely emotional story.”

Martin has thus decided “for himself” that he doesn’t want to continue the experiment and doesn’t want to get to know Jenny any further. “I really reflected on it for myself and there are simply the allegations that we discussed today, where the points of view were different,” says Martin, explaining the reason for his decision. His actions affect Jenny deeply. After she retreats in tears, she explains, disappointed and angry: “That’s not how you deal with a person who you pretend to for days that you think they’re so great. Simply not contacting them for six days, not having a conversation, and then just making the decision on your own, you don’t do that. That you don’t do that when you decide to get married. […] That’s not only unfair, it’s selfish.” The expert is also outraged. “Why not take this opportunity to ask, ‘What might I be doing wrong? What can I work on? What can we do differently?'” tries Dr. Köhldorfer to shake him awake. In her opinion, Martin gives up before things can really get started. Will the 46-year-old perhaps change his mind again before the “Wedding at First Sight” finale and give marriage a second chance?
