The game takes the form of a battle royale which, as in the series, must lead to the victory of a single player. Several events will have to be competed with “new games inspired by classic children’s activities”, indicates Netflix. Which is reminiscent of the bloody challenges of the series.

A global success

According to Les Numériques, the temporary free nature of the game has only one objective: to encourage those who are not yet free to subscribe to the platform. However, no date has yet been set for the end of free access to the game.

By absorbing new subscribers, Netflix could do even better than season 1 of Squid Game. The program was ranked number 1 in 99 countries and remained in the top of the most popular fiction in the world for twenty-two weeks. However, South Korean creator and director Hwang Dong-hyeok spent more than ten years developing his story.

Return the Seong Gi-hun

For this new season, the main character, Seong Gi-hun, returns. The official summary states that the big winner of season 1 “has given up on going to the United States and is returning with a new goal. To achieve it, he dives back into the mysterious survival game where he will face deadly situations alongside new participants who all dream of winning the prize of 45.6 billion won.

And for the actor who plays Seong Gi-hun, “the storyline of season 2 is even more interesting than that of season 1. There is also a new set of characters, so I think the audience will be really excited “. There are only a few days left to wait to find out.
