Slymane's family participates in the program “Call for witnesses”

Slymane Lerouge, aged 25, died in a fire in his building on August 1, 2023, in Caudebec-lès-Elbeuf. A fire whose criminal origin has been favored since the start of an investigation which is now stalling, estimates Esther Diego, Slymane's mother, who will participate this Monday, December 16 in the show “Call for witnesses” broadcast on M6: “It's been sixteen months since my son died and we have had no news from the justice system. The only thing I know today is that the file was sent to an investigating judge in , and that there is a letter rogatory which is in progress. People tell me terms and words, but today I know nothing, and time passes. The building could soon be destroyed since it is all in ruins, but in the meantime, I have no answer.”

It was the production of the show that contacted Slymane's mother to discuss the affair and try to obtain new elements with a view to lifting the veil on certain gray areas linked to the night of the 'fire. “We live in a small town, everyone knows each other. There was a lot of noise that night, there were fights, there were neighbors who heard people threatening to set fires. I have collected a lot of information, but we need other testimonies to move the investigation forward and find out what happened.” underlines Esther Diego.
