OL demand cancellation of Mikautadze's yellow card

Author of 's only goal during Sunday evening's defeat at PSG, Georges Mikautadze was booked during the small incident between him and Gianluigi Donnarumma. OL contests this decision.

The weekend was rich in controversies linked to arbitration. And even if at the Parc des Princes, the Parisian victory is not in any possible dispute, a sequence annoyed the leaders of Olympique Lyonnais. Indeed, following his goal which brought the score to 2-1, Georges Mikautadze took a warning from Benoît Bastien, just like the Saint-Germain goalkeeper, the two players having clashed about the ball that the OL striker wanted to recover from the back of the Parisian net. On the side of those responsible for Olympique Lyonnais, we believe that the referee was completely wrong in giving the Georgian international striker a yellow card for this action. And John Textor's club therefore decided to alert the Technical Refereeing Department.

According to Hugo Guillemet, OL want Georges Mikautadze to be completely exonerated in this story. “ The leaders were taken aback, however, by the yellow card given to Georges Mikautadze after his goal, and by the use of the video sequence by the LFP to promote the match. OL also contacted the DTA on Sunday to request the cancellation of this warning », specifies the journalist of The Team. In the sequence, the Italian goalkeeper is obviously largely involved in the confusion, since it was he who tried to hold Mikautadze back, but the latter had a bad reflex by then advancing towards the Italian goalkeeper as if to unstitch. Let's see what those responsible for arbitration will decide after this request from Olympique Lyonnais.
