“It was very humiliating…” Was Laurent Gerra dubbed for the stunts in Hors Limits, broadcast this evening? He responds

With an average of more than five million followers per broadcast, Out of Limitsthe collection worn by Laurent Gerra and Clémentine Poidatz, has become one of the favorite events of 2 viewers. Monday December 16, the channel broadcasts a new episode (our opinion) still filmed in the high mountains, with, among guests Caterina Murino and Stéphane Debac. Expert skier, Laurent Gerra lifts the veil behind the scenes of the filming.

Laurent War (Out of bounds) : “I like this character because he is not very pleasant

Télé-Loisirs: Since the launch of the series, do you feel more comfortable in the shoes of Andréas Meyer?
Laurent War
: No, but I stopped him from becoming better! In the previous scenario for example, he went on the Internet and I said no, because it's not his type, we have to keep his DNA. I like this character because he is a little broken by life, not very pleasant. He is pragmatic, he does not get cluttered and gets to the point.

Are you talking about yourself or Andreas?
[Il rit.] I find myself, of course, particularly in its relationship to technology! In his humor too, very cold. It's quite delicious.

The tempo of the series breaks with the frenzy of our times, does that also appeal to you?
Yes of course. Already, there is the mountain. It's good to be a little contemplative in landscapes that lend themselves to it. You should know that Éric Vallette is a real director, a film buff, with strong references in terms of westerns or certain films like those of Jean-Pierre Melville too. Like Hélène Filières with whom I loved working [notamment dans Un père idéal avec Eddy Mitchell, diffusé sur France 2 il y a quelques semaines, ndlr]he is not satisfied with basic fields, reverse shots, which we see all the time. Every shot is carefully crafted.

I had to double my lining! “Laurent Gerra makes amusing confidences about the filming of Out of boundsbroadcast this Monday, December 16

In this episode you have a few fight scenes. Have you also summoned your movie-loving memories by filming them?
Absolutely, it's very precise to adjust with stuntmen and very fun to do, especially in this environment. The mountains drive me crazy! I love films that take place in the snow, it enhances the image. On the other hand, as someone who has skied all over the world, it was very humiliating to be asked to be overtaken for insurance reasons. I ski the old-fashioned way and I have a recognizable style. I found that the lining was clumsy and not very fluid! (he laughs). The funny thing is that the day she came, the weather was so disgusting that I had to double my understudy. It was I who, in the end, did a good part of the skiing scenes!

And the car chase, is that you too?
In part, yes. But I don't mind a stuntman taking my place.

Other “stunts”, your kissing scenes with Caterina Murino: did you prefer them to those in the car?
(He laughs) You know, with the technicians around, it's not very intimate! Caterina and I have known each other for a long time and we were happy to meet again. There was a real bond between us, as with all my partners, in fact. I liked this shoot because the harshness of the climate and the environment meant that we were all united. Every time, we are very cold. Personally, I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me, but I remember that, for the first episode, we found ourselves at eight in the morning in minus 27 degrees, it was a little hard to articulate …

Since I became a dad, I'm less cheating ” confides Laurent Gerra

Avalanches are at the heart of this third episode. As an experienced skier, have you ever been frightened by these snow slides?
We are always very careful but, in the mountains, zero risk does not exist. The problem now is that anyone wants to go off-piste, without knowing the exposures or the snow conditions. Two years ago, in Chile, we were taken to a ridge and there I said: “No, I'm not going that way“. And indeed, an avalanche started. Since I became a father, I am a little less of a death cheat and, whatever happens, you should never leave without airbags or beacons.

Difficult to fit filming between your shows (it is at the Casino de until January 4) and your daily columns on RTL?
We have seasonal constraints, since we shoot between January and March and never during school vacation periods. With the producer, Elisabeth Arnac, Clémentine Poidatz and Mohamed Ketfi, we became a little family.
