Lamine Yamal, out for between three and four weeks due to an ankle injury

Lamine Yamal He will be out for a month due to an ankle injury that occurred against Leganés. Barcelona issued a medical statement this Monday after the player underwent medical tests at the Sant Joan Despí Sports City.

“The first team player Lamine Yamal had a trauma to his right ankle during yesterday’s match against CD Leganés. Tests carried out this morning have shown a grade 1 injury to the anterior intertibio-fibular ligament. The approximate downtime will be between 3 and 4 weeks,” said the statement.

In this way, the Barcelona striker misses next Saturday’s match against the Atlético de Madrid, the Copa del Rey against Barbastro and almost certainly the Spanish Super Cup which takes place from January 8 to 12, although we will have to keep an eye on the player’s evolution in the coming weeks.

Lamine Yamal He was injured last Sunday in the match against Leganés. The player already asked for the change in the first half, although he finally chose to wait until half-time so that the doctors could examine him well. He came on in the second half, but was substituted in the 75th minute when he saw that he could no longer continue.
