Vivendi has finally announced the split of its various subsidiaries, placing Canal+ on the London Stock Exchange.
A major transformation of Vivendi's organization, approved by shareholders, has just been implemented. The idea is to separate the group into several main entities, each listed on different stock exchanges. Canal+ has therefore just made its IPO in London on December 16, 2024.
The Havas advertising agency, for its part, was listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange with a reference price of €1.79, representing a total valuation of €1.77 billion. The Lagardère group, for its part, enters Euronext Growth in Paris, and the Vivendi holding company continues to be listed on Euronext Paris.
This choice is strategic: the audiovisual group continues to strengthen its international development, with a major presence outside France, namely in Africa, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The listing in London intends to reflect this international dimension, in particular in the context of its merger with the African giant MultiChoice.
