For the record, The whirlwind of life required 87 different filming locations! Three locations have been completely created. The father's workshop and the living part of this house. As well as the Berlin loft. But for the rest, Olivier Treiner and his team shot a lot on natural settings.
“As we were in full confinement, it was excluded to go to Amsterdam, Berlin or Tokyo but we recreated the Berlin loft in Saint-Denis and the Amsterdam loft, at the University campus in the Netherlands pavilion. And all the exteriors were filmed in Paris.”explained the filmmaker in particular.
