Stefan Bellmont is the first Swiss to throw

Wattimena sets his sights on 170, fails and makes 42 away in the next attempt.

2:1 lead in the legs for the favorite. Now Bellmont begins the leg again.

Bellmont initially doesn’t let Wattimena come near the checkout. With 128 remaining, however, two suboptimal arrows from the Swiss, he leaves 82.

Wattimena at 137 and Bellmont checks away the 82 with three arrows. Strong! That’s 1:1.

Bellmont starts the game with 100 points as the first shot – wonderful. And in the first leg he managed a 180 when Wattimena threw it on. Belli rightly clenched his fist.

Wattimena uses his third arrow to hit tops and win the first leg.

The Dutchman with a lot of boom-boom on the walk-on. Hopefully he doesn’t cause too much fuss during the game.

At 9:24 p.m. “Lift U Up” by Gotthard sounds and Stefan Bellmont takes the stage at Alexandra Palace.

Two thirds of the watson community believe there will be a surprise:

Stefan Bellmont’s World Cup premiere should start around 9:30 p.m.

The first game of this World Cup is history. Thibault Tricole beat Australian Joe Comito 3-1. The Frenchman has earned a second game: the last one tonight against defending champion Luke Humphries.

Stefan Bellmont will compete as an outsider. He is number 124 in the world, his opponent Jermaine Wattimena appears in the rankings at number 36.

The Dutchman has already taken part in the PDC Association World Championships ten times. However, he never advanced further than the third round.

The first round of the World Cup is played in three winning sets. If you want to win a set, you have to win three legs. This means that he must be the first player to get from 501 points to zero, with the last arrow stuck in a double field or in the bull’s eye in the center of the target.
