Gachet-Mollaret: “I tried to do the best possible”
Axelle Gachet-Mollaret (winner of the Vertical Race): “I didn't run the sprint (Saturday), I tried to do the best possible, without pressure. Conditions were good, a little glossy. For the rest, I will focus on the Vertical and the World Championships (March 2-8, Morgins, SUI), a big goal for me. »
Emily Harrop (second from VR): “Oh my, I’m delighted! Once again. It's been a long time since I had such a good place in the Vertical Race, so it makes me so happy! I see that I can perform well in this discipline without too much training. The season is still long but I wanted to be present in Courchevel. I'm going to slow down a bit to go back to training and prepare for what's next. I'm the World Cup leader, it's not a goal at the moment but it's always good to be at the front. We are going (in January) to discover Azerbaijan before the tour in the Pyrenees, Andorra and Spain. »
Xavier Gachet (third in VR): “I am very happy with my race. I did well and made my first podium in vertical Race. I was starting to get a little desperate, which is good. I'm in good shape, not yet exceptional but it's starting the season by saying that we weren't too wrong in the line (of conduct) to adopt. »
Rémi Bonnet (Switzerland, winner of the VR): “To do it in time trial mode is the best way to push myself to my limits. Usually in the World Cup we all start together and I tend to be up front straight away and in charge. And today (this Sunday), the conditions were perfect, it was sliding well and I was having a good day. »
