She was not supposed to compete this evening… According to the old rules of Miss France, Miss Martinique, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, was too old to pretend to be a beauty queen. But as the competition modernized, the rules evolved in 2022 and the thirty-year-old was able to fly the colors of her island on the Futuroscope stage this December 14, 2024.
The young woman paraded during different musical scenes, from sixties music to classical ballets. The theme of the evening was indeed dance. TF1 intended to present the Miss Ball. Revisited traditional costume, slit dress, swimsuit or princess dress… She went through all the shapes and colors tonight, like her rivals.
Originally from Fonds-Saint-Denis and Morne-Vert, in Martinique, the new Miss France 2025 was acclaimed by viewers and the jury chaired by Sylvie Vartan. Stewardess, Angélique began her career as a sales advisor at Air France. She held the position of bilingual executive assistant from 2020 to 2023 in Paris, before joining Corsair as cabin crew, until her election as Miss Martinique 2024.
It was not the first time that Angélique Angarni-Filopon participated in Miss France. “14 years ago, I stood for the Miss Martinique election and became first runner-up. And here I am today, elected as your ambassador to take our magnificent colors to the Miss France 2025 election,” wrote -she on Instagram a few days after her election.
