It was after the Second World War, in 1960, that a third Miss Brittany was crowned during the national election. On December 31, 1959, Brigitte Barazer de Lannurien won the crown and thus became the 30e Miss France.

The last Miss Brittany crowned Miss France in 2010

Two years later, it was Monique Lemaire who experienced the same success. Elected Miss Côte d'Emeraude (the old name of the competition before the merger in 1962) in 1961, the Breton was crowned Miss France in 1962 at the age of 19. The day after her coronation, she was crowned on board the liner France.

As of December 14, the last Miss Brittany elected Miss France was Laury Thilleman in 2010. In a few hours, Marie Castel will perhaps be the sixth Miss Brittany to swap the regional sash for that of Miss France.
