Guadeloupe, , Mayotte… The Miss Overseas, stars of the competition

Islands of beauty. This year, the Overseas Misses intend to succeed Guadeloupean Indira Ampiot, Miss 2023, as beauty queen. One of them, Miss Guadeloupe, is among the favorites of the 95th edition of Miss France, which takes place this Saturday evening at Futuroscope (Vienna). 20 Minutes present to you three Misses from Overseas, determined to become Miss National.

Miss Guadeloupe, Moïra André

At 28 years old, Moïra André is one of the most serious contenders for the title of Miss France 2025. She will even be crowned, according to predictive artificial intelligence (AI). The young woman decided to embark on the Miss adventure, encouraged by her friends. Her charisma and joy of life, in addition to her beauty, characterize her. Moïra André graduated with a master's degree in e-commerce, before becoming a digital advisor to the Departmental Council. Last month, during the preparation trip for the regional Misses in Ivory Coast, the 28-year-old young woman stood out during the general knowledge test, winning second place (out of thirty candidates).

As a reminder, Guadeloupe has won the Miss France competition four times with Indira Ampiot (in 2023), Clémence Botino (in 2020), Corinne Coman (in 2003) and Véronique de la Cruz (in 1993). Moïra André could thus become the fourth representative of Guadeloupe to become Miss France in the space of five years.

Miss , Angélique Angarni-Filopon

At 34, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is the oldest in the competition. Note that this is the first time that a candidate is over 30 years old among the thirty contenders and that it is also the first year where no age limit has been set by the organizers of the Miss France competition.

A flight attendant in life, Angélique Angarni-Filopon failed for the first time in the Miss Martinique election, thirteen years ago. Among our colleagues at Parisianthe young woman presented herself as an “eternal child”, and that her participation in the famous beauty contest broadcast on TF1 is “a true woman’s desire”.

In addition to becoming the first thirty-year-old to be crowned Miss France, she could quite simply become the first Miss Martinique to be crowned.

Miss Mayotte, Zaya Toumbou

Like Miss Martinique, Zaya Toumbou is determined to make her island, Mayotte, which has never won the election, triumph. This third-year undergraduate student in information and communication sciences defends two causes: the protection of the environment and the promotion of Mahorese artists on the national and international scene. And for good reason. His father is Lathéral, a famous singer from the Indian Ocean archipelago.

Nicknamed “the Johnny Hallyday of Mayotte”, Lathéral is the interpreter of hits such as Black Thursday, Soubi na Boina or even Flame. “My dad has a lot of talent, he’s really a man that I admire a lot,” the young woman declared to Leisure . It's up to her to take the microphone this evening, in the hope of seducing the jury, but also the Miss France audience.
